Descriere

Tussar Silk, also referred to as "wild silk", is a refined fiber obtained from a wide-winged, brownish-yellow silkmoth called Antheria Paphia.

Mainly produced in India, Tussar is highly valued for its natural golden colors, which it inherits from the Antheria Paphia butterfly. Tussar silk is much more textured than any other variety of silk.

The material is also cooler than other varieties and is much more porous, therefore breathable. Being cooler than other silk varieties makes Tussar extremely wearable in warmer parts of the world.

Maintenance is relatively easy, but you must protect it from stains and loss of shine. We recommend dry cleaning. However, you can hand wash occasionally, with lukewarm water and mild shampoo, such as baby or wool shampoo, while being very careful with the hand-tied fringes.

After washing, lay it as flat as possible. Iron with a lukewarm iron, but it is best to place a piece of paper or cloth between the iron and the fabric.
